Canton – Patricia L. Weers, 88, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at her residence.
She was born on August 10, 1929, in Canton to Walter and Anna (Bowman) Evans.
She married George R. Weers, Sr on January 25, 1947 in Kansas City, Missouri. He preceded her in death on June 23, 1998.
Surviving are three children, George (Marie) Weers of Pekin, Tom (Rhonda) Weers of Canton, Melissa (Charles) Clark of Georgia, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death are her son, Pete Weers, one brother James Evans and one sister Mildred Dolgoff.
Pat operated her own beauty shop called Pat’s Petite Salon in Canton and later, owned Pat’s Ceramic Shop. She enjoyed crafts and stain glass but mostly collecting teddy bears and teddy bear collectables.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, from 3-5 pm at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton. There will be no funeral service. Cremation rites will follow the services and a burial of the ashes will be held Greenwood Cemetery in Canton at a later date.
