Lynette C. (Buffum) Bubela


It is with great sadness that the family of Lynette C. (Buffum) Bubela announce her passing at the age of 68 on March 3, 2018. Born June 19, 1949, Lynette was a childhood resident of Canton, IL. Lynette left Canton to work in Washington D.C. for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. She was married in 1970 to James F. Bubela for 13 years, and was a longtime resident of Lincoln, RI, where she worked as an administrative professional for several companies including a recruiting agency and several law firms. Lynette moved to Frisco, TX in 2006 to be closer to her family, and worked for Frisco ISD Child Nutrition.

Lynette was a loving mother and proud grandmother. Those surviving her are daughter, Jeanette C. Tefft (Chad), son, Brian J. Bubela (Sara), and 7 grandchildren: Joshua T. Tefft, Zachary C. Tefft, Olivia G. Tefft, Tyler D. Bubela, Kyle J. Bubela, Zoey E. Tefft, and Kypten D. Bubela.

She was also preceded in death by her parents Carroll D. Buffum, Martha A. (Leonard) Buffum, and her sister Leanne L. Buffum.

Lynette served Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She attended St. Jude Catholic Church in Lincoln, RI, and more recently Grace and Gateway Church, both in Frisco, TX. During the last several years, she fought hard to overcome breast cancer but eventually succumbed to the disease to be with the Lord. Lynette will be buried alongside her sister, mother, and father at White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton, IL. Out of respect for Lynette’s wishes, the family will have a private memorial service.
