Lewistown- Tillie A. Anderson, 94, of Macomb and formerly of Lewistown passed away at 5:00 AM Thursday March 23, 2017 at Wesley Village in Macomb.
She was born November 5, 1922 at Lewistown the daughter of Robert and Nellie (Lundquist) Ellsworth. She married Jack H. Tanner in 1944. She later married Edward F. Anderson on August 13, 1965 in St. Louis, MO. They both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother. Tillie is survived by her many friends including Laura (Mike) Steelman of Bushnell and Trudy Sparagowski of Bushnell.
Tillie owned and operated the Ben Franklin and Tillies Department store in Lewistown for many years. Tillie was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lewistown. Other memberships include Lewistown Rebecca Lodge where she was musician and Past Noble Grand for many years, Lewistown Chamber of Commerce, We-Ma-Tuk Country Club, Lewistown American Legion Auxiliary, and a social member of the Lewistown VFW Post 5001.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown with Pastor Penny Frame officiating. There will be no visitation.
