FARMINGTON – John Callister Record, 84, of Farmington, passed away at 1:10 PM on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Farmington Country Manor. He was born on August 6, 1932 in Farmington to Roy and Catherine (Callister) Record. He married Ida “Marie” Anderson, she survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Sam (Dandy) Ward of Canton, Matt (Deanna) Ward of OH, Stephen (Dolly) Ward of Fairview, and Jim (Dawn) Record of Farmington, IL; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Frank Record of Ellisville; one sister, Blanche (Kent) Swedlund of Watseka, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Dorothy Blue.
John graduated from Farmington High School in 1950. He was a self-employed farmer. John was a member of Farmington Bible Church, and was a United States Army Veteran serving his country during the Korean War.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington, where a visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the services. Pastor Tony Severine will officiate. Burial will follow the services at Oakridge Cemetery in Farmington, IL. Memorials can be made to Farmington Rescue Squad 1100.
