He was born August 3, 1958 at Canton, the son of Earl E. and Vera C. (Breckenridge) Smith. He married Dorothy Boggs on September 9, 2009 at Lewistown. She survives with five children, Shaundra (John) Draper of Bryant, Jarrod Smith of Lewistown, Dustin (Ayan) Boggs of Georgia, Kendall (Aaron) Miller of Lewistown, and Shelby Cumby of Lewistown, eleven grandchildren, L.J. , Danny, Matthew, Brady, Kolby, Mu’aawiyah, Manaal, Nawaal, Naasir, Yaasir, and Wally, one great grandchild on the way, and one brother, Roscoe “Ed” (Carol) Smith of Lewistown. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother Larry Smith.
Dave retired from the Duck Creek Cilco plant after 40 years of service. He enjoyed car shows, motorcycles, fishing, and video games. Dave never knew a stranger.
Services will be held at 11 am Wednesday January 14, 2026 at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown where visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
