Mary E. Rynearson

Mary E. Rynearson, 91, of Peoria, passed away at 6:17 p.m., on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. She was born on June 23, 1930, to Fred and Zella (Stegall) Cole in Warren County. She married Charles Rynearson on October 5, 1949, in Springfield. He preceded her in death on April 10, 2008.

She is survived by four children, David (Nancy) Rynearson of Hanna City, Mark (Neva) Rynearson of Metamora, Mary Rynearson of Peoria, and Michele (Jim) Eastwood of Paducah, KY; one brother, Frederick "Jack" Cole; two sisters, Grace Courtright and Jean Gummerson; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She is also preceded in death by her parents; three children, Dennis Rynearson, Michael Rynearson, and Crystal Rynearson; one sister, Ruby Melton; and one grandchild, Jolene Eastwood.
Mary was involved with the Girl Scouts for over 25 years and member of T.O.P.S. for many years. She was also a member of the United Methodist Church in Edwards.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, January 31, 2022, at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Elmwood. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home. A burial will immediately follow at Combs Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Association.
