Also surviving are two brothers, and two sisters. Cathy loved her family and was known as Aunt Cathy to many and to some who were not even her direct relation. Active with animals in her early years she was involved with police dog training, and later became involved in horse pedigree research and breeding. In high school she saved up her money and purchased her first horse which led to a further love and desire to be more involved with equestrian sports. During her time with horses, she showed in many parades, won state champions, and qualified for the world show three different times. Her love of her family was such that she made sure her siblings and her great nephews and nieces always received both Christmas and birthday gift boxes without fail. She was extremely proud of both of her sisters and brothers and spoke very highly of them every time she got a chance. Cooking and baking were highlights to family dinners as she was an excellent cook and always helped prepare the meals.
Cathy worked and retired as a Federal Loan Officer with Komatsu.
