Garry Swibold

Garry A. Swibold, 62, of Fairview, IL passed away on January 16, 2022 in the loving arms of his wife and children. He was born February 13, 1959 in Pekin to Jack and Barbra Swibold. His father precedes him in death, his mother survives.

He is survived by his love of his life and wife Rebecca Bauman of 42 years and his two children Codi (Justin Montgomery) Swibold of Canton and Cole (Rayvan) Swibold of Fairview.
Also surviving his Mother-in-law Clarsice (Keith) Abbadusky of Fairview, one Brother Gregg (Sue) Swibold of Pekin, two Brother-in-law's Rob (Missy) Bauman of Fairview and Willie (Marsha) Bauman of Fairview. Two Sister-in-law's Lisa (Bob) Laird of Fairview and LeeAnn (Lee Ratliff) Bauman of Lewistown, six nephews and four nieces.
Also surviving seven grand-dogs, "Garage Dog" Rocko, Remi, Lucy, Silk, Arlo, Henry and Quinn.
Preceding him in death is his best friend Dave McClelland, Father-in-law Oliver "Leroy" Bauman, Uncle Lionel "Lyle" Bauman and Grandmother Dorothy "Dot" Maple. Also preceding him in death is his big sweetie Bella Boo and grand dog Max.
He was a 1977 graduate of Pekin Community High School. He worked for Parker Fabrication in Morton. He also worked for TDI of Morton and M&W Contractors of Creve Coeur.
He was a member of the Marquette Heights Baptist Church.
He enjoyed spending time with his wife and children as much as he could. He enjoyed bowling, setting fireworks off and drinking beer in his Garage Mahal with his family and friends. He also enjoyed building his son's Late Model from the ground up and loved watching him race.
As were his wishes, there will be private family services at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home Canton, Illinois. Memorials can be made to Blue Butts Colon Cancer Fund at 603 N Coolidge Ct. West Peoria, IL, 61604.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
