Lyle L. Hebb

Lyle L. Hebb, 90, of Canton, passed away at 1:22 PM on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 7, 1931, a son of Ivan and Viola (Parker) Hebb Sr. He married Betty Beebe on February 5, 1952 in Missouri; she survives.


Also surviving are three children, Debra (Mike) Wheeler, Dianna Cochran, and David Hebb all of Canton; seven grandchildren, Gena (Danny) Hamilton, Krysta (Jason Lamm) Chisum, Rita (Michael) Lowery, Ivy Ann Bohan, Holly (Curtis) Jones, Morgan Cochran, Zach (Kelly) Wheeler; twelve great-grandchildren, one brother, William (Cindy) Hebb; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Ivan Hebb Jr.; and one grandson, Troy Chisum.

Lyle worked and retired from International Harvester. He enjoyed riding and working on motorcycles and cars. He loved to be with his family and grandchildren. He also enjoyed carpentry. He was a long-time member of the East Side Nazarene Church in Canton, IL. He was also a veteran of the United States Army.

Service will be held at noon on January 6, 2022 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. A visitation will be held the same day from 10:00 AM – noon. Dave Utt will officiate. Burial will follow service at White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton, IL. Memorials may be made to Hospice Compassus or Wounded Warrior.
