Liverpool – Sherrill R. Wilcoxen, 79, of Liverpool passed away at 5:47 am, Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Renaissance Care Center in Canton. She was born August 19, 1938 in Canton to George “Frankie” and Clarice (Johnson) Harris. Sherrill married Floyd “Willie” Wilcoxen on June 3, 1994 in Liverpool. He survives along with two daughters; Robin (Late Don) Hibbetts and Lori (Ed) Knowles both of Liverpool, three grandchildren; Andrew Edwards, Hilary Edwards, and Dustin Knowles, and a great-granddaughter Makayla Keime.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant child, one brother Darryll Harris, and five grandchildren, Edward Jr., Mariah, Caleb, Autumn, and Angel Knowels.
Sherrill served on the Liverpool board for 16 years as the treasurer. Over the years Sherrill took care of many children at her home.
A visitation will be held on Monday October 16, 2017 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton from 11am until 12 noon, burial will follow at the Salem Wilcoxen Cemetery.
Family and friends are invited to the Liverpool Town Hall for a time of food and fellowship following the burial.
Memorials may be made out to the American Cancer Society or Harbor Lite Hospice.
