Richard C. Perardi


Farmington – Richard C. Perardi, 57, of Farmington, passed away at 12:40 PM on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Proctor UnityPoint in Peoria, IL. He was born on August 15, 1959 in Canton to Albert and Vera (Newcomb) Perardi. He married Mary Jo Bitner on October 3, 1987 in Farmington, IL, she survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Michael (Sarah) Perardi, Daniel (Heather Shaw) Perardi, and Adam (Kelsey Inglis) all of Farmington, IL; one granddaughter, Gianna Perardi; one brother, Bill Perardi of Farmington; one sister, Carolyn (David) Higgs of Dunlap; two nieces, which were considered daughters, Elizabeth (Jeff) Shillinger, and Laura (Donny) Gruss; two nephews, Craig (Jessica) Higgs and Scott (Casey) Higgs; four great-nieces, Rosalie, Kennedy, Kiera, and Reese; and two great-nephews, L.J. and Asher.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents.

Richard was a farmer throughout his life, and was an owner in his family business, Perardi Fur and Wool. He was a member of the Farmington Fire Department since 1981, and a co-chair for the Spoon River Drive in Reed Park. Richard was an avid Cardinals Fan and loved going to St. Louis with his family. Richard was the chef of the family, always making enough food to feed an army. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family.

Services will be at 10 AM on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington, IL. A visitation will be held from 4-8 PM on Friday, February 24, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at Oakridge Cemetery in Farmington. Memorials can be made to the Farmington Rescue Squad 1100.
