Canton – Maeanna “Mickey” Estes, 88, of Canton, passed away at 9:44 PM on Monday, February 20, 2017 at Sunset Nursing Home. She was born on July 12, 1928 in London Mills to Henry and Mae (Camp) Schulthes. She married Lavern Cecil “Bim” Estes on June 10, 1952; he preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, one son, Ronald Estes, and two sisters.
Surviving are two children, Marcus H. (Shannon) Estes of Fairhope, AL, and Susan (Stephen) Behrens of St. Charles, IL; six grandchildren, Laura Estes, Michael Estes, Matthew Behrens, Zachary Behrens, Morgan Estes, and Madison Estes; one great-granddaughter, Tonielli Estes; and one brother, Mike Schulthes of London Mills, IL.
Mickey was a member of Maples Mills United Methodist Church.
Services will be at 12 PM noon on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Maples Mills United Methodist Church, where a visitation will be from 10 AM-12 PM. Rev. Jerry Sawyer will officiate. Burial will follow the services at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton, IL. Memorials can be made to the Maples Mills United Methodist Church.
