Glenna Scalf


Canton – Glenna L. Scalf, 86, of Canton passed away at 4:24 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at Pekin Hospital.
She was born May 2, 1930, in Louisville, KY to Cawein and Bertha (Siders) Sale.
She is survived by seven children, Mike (Karen) Scalf of Maricopa, AZ, Ronald (Janet) Scalf of Canton, Brent Scalf of Pekin, Debbie (Dean) Karcher of Pekin, Rod Scalf of Surprise, AZ, Carla Scalf of Canton, and Janet (Chuck) Gruber of Pekin; one brother, Ed Scalf; one sister-in-law, Edna Sale; twenty-three grandchildren; and forty-nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Brenda Joyce Scalf; and four brothers, Richard “Corkie”, Weston, Tracey, and William Scalf.
Glenna retired from Graham Hospital, where she worked in surgical housekeeping.  She enjoyed doing puzzles and coloring.  She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses in Canton and Pekin.
Cremation rites have been accorded.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 6, 2017, at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton, where visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
Memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen or to the American Cancer Society.
