Ruby I. Herriford, 89, of Canton, died at 12:45 a.m. Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Renaissance Care Center in Canton.
She was born in Lewistown on June 12, 1925 to Frank David and Bernice E. (Chambers) Hughes.
She married John Herriford in Palmyra, MO on April 1, 1943. He preceded her in death on March 21, 1991.
Surviving are three children John Herriford of London Mills, James Herriford of Canton, Joseph (Dawn) Herriford of Rockville, TN, and Brenda (Rudy) Hadsall of Canton), six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and one sister Betty Downing of Canton.
She was preceded in death by one brother Delbert “Gene” Hughes.
Ruby was the head of housekeeping at Coleman Clinic in Canton retiring in 1996 and was active at the YMCA in the senior exercise classes.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton with a visitation one hour prior at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown.
