Lewistown - Alice
Annette Echerd, 81, of Lewistown, passed away at 8:50 AM Friday Jan. 23, 2015
at Renaissance Care Center in Canton.
She was born
April 7, 1933 at Cuba, the daughter of Jasper H. and Sada R. (Landis) Scott.
She married James Wilmer Echerd on June 24, 1962 at Lewistown. He died November
14, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one
sister. Surviving is one daughter, Rebecca L. (Michael) Schulte of St. Louis,
MO; two honorary grandchildren, Joseph C. Southard and Rickie Jo Southard both
of Bryant, four sisters, Virginia (Harlan) Hedges, Margaret Lefler, and Frances
Henderson all of Canton, Audrey Apple of Indianapolis, IN; and one sister
inlaw, Mary Etta (Flambers) Scott of Canton, and 10 nieces and nephews.
Alice had worked
at Atwood/Dana-Victor in Havana, and later worked as a CNA before retiring. She
was a 50 year member of the Rebekah Lodge #566, and had served as past Noble Grand,
and past District 11 President.
Cremation
will be accorded and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday
January 31, 2015 at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown, with Reverend
Rushing officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Interment
of ashes will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the
