Terrie L Taylor

Terrie L. (Schappaugh) Taylor of Morton, formerly of Manito, passed away on February 14, 2025. She was born on March 25, 1970 to Donald Eugene and Mary Joette (Green) Schappaugh in Canton, Illinois. She was preceded in death by both parents. She married James Taylor on July 6, 2024 and he survives.

Terrie is also survived by her daughter, Brittney (Justin) Burget of Forest City, Illinois; one granddaughter and the love of her life, Brylee Burget; one step-son, Zachary Taylor (Larysa (Rizz) Kobryn; sister, Sheryl (John) Munson of Winterset, Iowa; nieces, Cassie and Abigail Munson; nephews, Lucas (Tasha) Munson, Ethan (Samantha) Munson, and Samuel, Creed, and Eli Munson; and two great-nephews, Matthew and Michael. She was fondly known as “Momma Terrie” to many children over the years.
Terrie worked for Tazewell-Mason Counties Special Education Association as an Administrative Assistant for 29 years. She was a graduate of Forman High School class of 1988.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at 2:30 p.m. at Maas-Hurley Funeral Home in Manito, with a visitation two hours prior to the service from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Rev. Roger Larson will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Forest City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Terrie’s name to Schramm Educational Center, 300 Cedar Street, Pekin, Illinois. Online condolences can be left for her family at www.hurleyfh.com.
