Surviving are three children; Richard (Norma) Lindsey of Canton, Joe (Claudia) Lindsey of Minneapolis, MN and Terrence (Jane) Lindsey of Bellevue, IL, one sister Linda Lane of Cuba and two grandchildren; Leah (Alex) Skender of Kansas City, MO and Ross (Emily) Lindsey of Bellevue.
Jo Ann was a skilled seamstress and operated a childcare business in her home for many years. Known for her love of sparkly rings and jewelry, Jo Ann was a consultant with several home party jewelry companies. Jo Ann and Junior enjoyed taking cruises and spent many happy days in Branson. Jo Ann was a member of Shields Chapel United Methodist Church where she was the Sunday School recording secretary and long-time treasurer of her Sunday School class. She also played in the chime choir, sang with the choir, and was a member of the United Methodist Women organization.
Services will be 11 am, Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton, where visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton.
Memorials may be made to Children’s Home Association of Illinois for the benefit of children at Kiefer School, or to Shields Chapel United Methodist Church.
