Karen E. (Wilson) Lougee

Lewistown- Karen E. (Wilson) Lougee, 79, of Lewistown, passed away at 7:15 AM on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at Graham Hospital in Canton. She was born on August 20, 1945 in Galesburg, Illinois, a daughter of Clarence and Vivian (Gregg) Wilson. They preceded her in death.


Surviving Karen are her children, Wendy (Bob) Whitsitt of Lewistown; Stephanie (Dick) Main of Knoxville; Greg (Jolyn) Lewis of East Galesburg; Tom (Marsha) Dean of Knoxville; Nick (Stephanie) Gooley of Necedah, Wisconsin; Rebecca (Michael) Lewis of Farmington; 29 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.


Karen started working at Grady’s 2100 Club in Galesburg, then at the Mobil Station in Knoxville, and later working as a hostess at Jumer’s, and retiring from Hawthorne Assisted Living, and Brickyard in East Galesburg. She was of the Catholic faith, an avid bowler, enjoyed playing pool and archery.


Per Karen’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded through Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton. Burial of ashes will take place at a later date in Knoxville Cemetery in Knoxville, Illinois. A celebration of life gathering will also be held at a later date.
