Ruth Ann Mibbs

Ruth Ann Mibbs, 80, of Havana, passed away at 11:44 a.m. on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. She was born on June 19, 1944 in Beardstown, Illinois to Lester and Martha (Cowan) Marr. She married James Mibbs on May 24, 1963 in Beardstown, Illinois, and he preceded her in death on July 1, 2013.

Ruth Ann is survived by her children, Tracey (Marcia) Mibbs of Petersburg, Renee (Spencer) Stigall of Havana, and Jeff (Gina) Mibbs of Havana; grandchildren, Zack, Denny, Morgan, Maddie, Charlie, and Abbey; great-grandchildren, Jaime, Stetson, Cutter, Denver, Cricket, and Willow; sisters, Marette Abbott, Deborah (Mike) Mibb, and Kathy (Delbert) Lierly; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Benny Ray Marr.
Ruth Ann was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She loved horses and enjoyed spending time with her family and going to her grandkids ball games and horse shows. She also enjoyed playing cards and marbles.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Lintner-Hurley Funeral Home in Chandlerville, with a visitation one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Rev. George Garnot will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Bethel Cemetery.
