Janice Marie Ford

Janice Marie Ford, 84, of Canton, passed away at 3:30 PM on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at The Loft in Canton. She was born on January 25, 1941 in Canton, IL, to Ray Geeseman Sr. and Lucille (Bath) Geeseman. She married Morris Laverene Ford on February 18, 1961 in Smithfield, IL. He preceded her in death on February 23, 2010.

She is also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Ray Geeseman; and one sister, Joellen Stell.

She is survived by two children, Brenda (Eugene) Rowe and Larry (Cynthia) Ford both of Canton; six grandchildren, Jessica (Patrick) Schoon of Canton, Cody Ford of Peoria, Brittany (Rob) Shockency of Creve Cour, Jennifer (Jason) Liu of Champaign, Kaley (Ryan) Wichman of Ohio, and Sarah (Brandon) Steranko of Ohio; 9 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Caroline Geeseman; and one brother-in-law, John Stell.

Janice was a bookkeeper for Whiteheads Bookkeeping and Tax Service. She enjoyed painting and drawing; crafts and puzzles.

Graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton, IL. Rev. Rick Atchley will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. Memorials may be made to the Fulton County Humane Society.
