Rosemary Burgett

Rosemary Burgett, 86, of Havana, passed away at her home at 11:20 a.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2025. She was born on January 13, 1939 in Havana to George and Mary (Williams) Bridges. She married Dallas “Bud” Burgett on May 19, 1957 in Havana and he preceded her in death on July 31, 2024.

Rosemary is survived by her children, Debra (Chris) Bishop of Havana, DeEtta (Carl) Martorana of Port Charlotte, Florida, and David (April) Burgett of Astoria; grandchildren, Erica (Ray) Braden and Savannah and Anabelle Burgett; and one great-grandchild, Hank Braden. Also surviving are her siblings, Vivian Towery of Havana and David Bridges of Southern Illinois; sister-in-law, Karen Pierson Bridges of Havana; and brothers-in-law, Chester “Jr” Burgett and Robert Fawcett, both of Havana. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and nine siblings.
Rosemary was a member of the Havana Assembly of God. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, scratch off tickets, and reading the newspaper.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana, with a visitation one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Rev. Randy Green will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana.
