Linda Sue Madtson

Linda Sue Madtson, 74, of Canton, passed away at 12:48 AM on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Graham Hospital. She was born on December 30, 1950 in Williamson, West Virginia, a daughter of Marvin and Margaret (Hinchee) Marvel. She married Nelson “Ed” Madtson on October 12, 2002 in Fiatt, Illinois. He survives.

Also surviving is her son, Tim (Wendy) Marvel of Bloomington; step-children, Trish & Eddie Wilcox; Nelson & Danielle Madtson; three grandchildren, Alex (Rachel) Marvel, Zachary Marvel, Jacob Marvel; four step-grandchildren, and three brothers, Marvin Donald (Robbie) Marvel of Peoria; David (Rebecca) Marvel of Canton; Bill (Cheryl) Marvel of Canton.

Preceding Linda in death were her parents, and sister, Betsy Bennett.

Linda worked and retired from the Canton Coleman Clinic in the Housekeeping department, retiring in 2013. She enjoyed following her grandchildren to their sporting events, and other activities.

Per Linda wishes, cremation rites will be accorded through Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory. Private burial of ashes will take place in Ipava Cemetery at a later date.
