He was born on December 20, 1950 in Peoria to Edward and Judy (Travis) Meyers. They preceded him in death.
Surviving are his sisters, Deborah Miller, Pamela Hughes, brothers, Randy (Karen) Meyers, Rick (JoAnn) Meyers, many nieces and nephews and his good friend, Tina Burd.
James served in the U.S. Navy and later worked at Caterpillar Tractor Co. from where he retired.
He was a dog lover and enjoyed raising and watching his pet turtle. He also enjoyed photography.
Cremation rites will be accorded and there will be no services.
