Jerry L. Norris

Jerry L. Norris, 74, of Mason City, passed away on June 19, 2024 at the Lodge in Manito. He was born on May 14, 1950 in Greensburg, Kentucky to Hubert Woodrow Norris and Rachel Pauline (Martin) Norris. Jerry attended Mason City schools and graduated in 1968. He was employed by Caterpillar Tractor Company for 30 years. Jerry served in the US Army with a 15 month tour in Vietnam. He married Sue Anderson on July 2, 1978. She survives, along with his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Mike and Trisha Culbertson and nephew Clayton Culbertson all of Mason City. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, his sister, Doris Jean Lipp and nephew Danny Lipp.

His great love and compassion for the youth was evident as he coached many Pony League baseball teams and was chosen as a mentor of an Eagle Scout. He was an avid golfer and a St. Louis Cardinal fan. Together with Sue, he traveled with his woodworking business for over 30 years.
