Gene A. Churchill, 82, of Canton, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024 at Graham Hospital in Canton.
He was born on August 2, 1941 in Canton to Russell and Elsie (Putman) Churchill. They preceded him in death along with one brother, Kenneth.
Surviving is the mother of his children, Elizabeth, their children, Marc (Kathy) Churchill of Lewistown, Jyl Barnard of Canton, Grandchildren, Harley Jo, Cloe (Fiancée-Noah Kesselmayer), Jacob, Jackson, one brother, Steve and his significant other, Ruth McCoy with whom he spent the last 35 years with.
Gene served in the U.S. Marine Corp and later worked at Caterpillar Tractor Co for 43 years.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Canton Elks Lodge #626. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and having his morning coffee at the lake house with his kids. Most of all he loved attending grandkids events and spending time with his family.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024, at 11am at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton with a visitation held one hour prior at the funeral home.
Burial will follow with military honors at the White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton.
