Carol Clark Dawson

Carol Clark Dawson, 79, of Bath, passed away at 9:48 a.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois. She was born on March 8, 1945 in Springfield, Illinois to Burton and Edith (Hohimer) Ishmael. She married Edward Clark on November 8, 1964 and he preceded her in death on December 8, 1985. She later married Harold Dawson on July 26, 1996 and he preceded her in death on December 4, 1998.

Carol is survived by her children, Jeff (Kim) Clark of Chandlerville and Susan (Dale) Upton of Fallston, North Carolina; grandchildren, Luke (Morgan) Clark and Logan (Krystina) Clark; step-grandchildren, Wes (Shelley) Upton and Jason Upton; great-grandchildren, Madison and McKayla; and step-great grandchildren, Acie and Austin. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, and sister, Sandy Graves.
Carol was a member of Oakford United Methodist Church. She liked to work on the farm and mow, enjoyed listening to music and shopping, and she loved spending time with and traveling with her family.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Oakford United Methodist Church in Oakford, Illinois, with a visitation one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Rev. Carol Stufflebeam will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Bethel Cemetery in Chandlerville.
