Terry J. Skinner, Sr.

Terry J. Skinner Sr., 66, of Peoria, passed away at 10:08 AM on Sunday, February 5, 2023 in Bartonville, IL. He was born on May 14, 1956 in Peoria, IL to Orville and Margaret (Gibson) Skinner Sr. He married Karen Prieto on August 12, 1994. She survives.

He is also survived by two sons, Carl Skinner of Bartonville, IL and Terry Skinner Jr. of Creve Coeur, IL; three brothers, Orville Skinner Jr., David Skinner, and Carl Skinner; four sisters, Pam Barnes, Nancy Farris, Debbie Skinner, and Kathy Skinner; and beloved dog, Cinnamon.

Terry is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Sharon Skinner and Tina Skinner.

He worked construction for most of his life. He enjoyed karate as a kid, Peoria Speedway racing, and fishing. He was also a Veteran of the United States Army.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Endsley-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Bartonville, IL. A visitation will be held the same day from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Rev. Kevin Van Tine will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded with Endsley-Sedgwick Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the family for funeral expenses.
