Helen B. Mistic

Helen B Mistic, 91, of Canton, passed away at 7:08 a.m. on Wednesday, February 1 at The Loft in Canton. She was born on August 31, 1931, in Canton to Andrew and Sophia (Stockov) Mistic. She is survived by a nephew, David Mistic of Chicago and a niece, Martha (Bodell) Mistic of Colorado, eight cousins, Dennis Yerbic, Phyllis (Yerbic) Cardosi, Francie (Yerbic) Roberson, Sheila (Yerbic) Henderson, Debbie Yerbic, Mark Yerbic all of Canton, Patrick Yerbic of St. Louis, and Paul Yerbic of St. David. She is also survived by a very close friend, Eileen Yocum of Canton. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, brother, John Mistie and sister, Margaret (Marge) Mistic, and a nephew, Charles Mistic. Helen worked at International Harvester for 35 years and the Fulton County Health Department for over 27 years, retiring in 2012. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Canton and was also a member of the Altar and Rosary Society at the church. Visitation will be held, Monday February 6, 2023, one hour, 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to a funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Canton. Burial will be in the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Canton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Saint Mary's Food Pantry.
