Kathleen "Kathy" S. Gillmore

Kathleen “Kathy” S. Gillmore, 72, of Havana passed away at 10:50 a.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at her home. She was born on December 12, 1950 in Beardstown, Illinois to Harold and Helen (Clark) Green. She married Barney Gillmore on May 20, 1969 in Beardstown. He preceded her in death on July 10, 2016.

Kathy is survived by her daughter, Chris (Victor) Oney of Havana; granddaughters, Abby (Dalton) Lowe and Tori Oney of Havana; great-grandson, Elias Lowe; siblings, Roger (Sue) Green of Pekin, Beth Green of Easton, and Kevin (Priscilla) Green of Easton; and many nieces, nephews, and other family she treated as her own. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister, Mary Schaffer.
Kathy worked in healthcare for most of her career, first as an EMT and then later as surgery tech and CNA at Mason District Hospital. She most recently worked at Circle K in Havana. Kathy enjoyed gambling and spending time with her family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana. Graveside services will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Rev. Abraham Mogerman will officiate.
