Charles Terry Showalter, 71, of Kilbourne, died Friday, February 3 2023, at 8:19 a.m., in Havana.
He was born April 16, 1951 in Menard County, Illinois, the son of Charles J. (Chubb) and Erma (Sathoff) Showalter.
Had many different truck driving jobs including Riser Grain, John Horn, National By Products, Doug Nall, as well as hauling grain in the Fall for Sid Van Etten and Glen and Dick Vanderveen.
He married Vickie Freeman on August 8 1972. She preceded him January 11, 2018. Also preceding him are 2 brothers Marvin and Rodney (Jay) Showalter.
Surviving are two sons: Chad Showalter of Havana, and Troy (Jennifer) Showalter, of Ashland.
Also surviving is 1 granddaughter Alisyn of Havana, and
one brother Rick (Karen) Showalter, of Kilbourne.
Terry’s hobbies included piddling in the garage, mowing, yard sales, going to Harbor Freight, meeting the guys at McDonald's then at the river. He couldn't wait for the Summer fish fry get together.
Per Terry's wishes cremation rights have been accorded. No formal services are planned.
Hurley Funeral Home in Havana is in charge of arrangements.
