Debra J. Gibson

Debra J. Gibson, 62, of Hanna City, passed away at 7:10 pm, Saturday, February 4, 2023 at the Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. She was born on April 15, 1960 in Peoria to James and Pat (Rogers) Evans. Debra married Donald Gibson on October 20, 1990 in Peoria. He survives along with her beloved English setter Archie, father James Evans of Hanna City, brother Tim (Kim) Evans of Hanna City, brothers-in-law; Mike (Pattie) Gibson of Glendale, MO, Karl Gibson of Peoria, John (Jenni) Gibson of Washington, sisters-in-law; Jenny (Mike) Caughey of Peoria and Patricia (Bill McCormack) Gibson of Peoria, several nieces and nephews and great nephew Skylar Evans.

Debra was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, mother and one nephew.

She graduated from Manual High School in Peoria in 1978. Debra worked at the family business TEDECO and later at Malabar Veterinary Clinic in Elmwood, where she made many 2 and 4 legged friends. She also had served as Hanna City Village Clerk and on the Hanna City Village Board. Debra was an avid bowler and a member of the 600 club.

The family would like to thank the Richard L. Owens Hospice Home staff for all of their care and comfort they provided.

Cremation rites have been accorded and Celebration of Life and burial in Foster Cemetery in Fairview will be at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to either the National Liver Foundation or American Cancer Society.
