Gerald F. McCausland

Gerald F. McCausland, 87, of Canton, passed away at 7:15 am, Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at his residence. He was born on July 21, 1935 in Oakford to James H. and Ethel (Bohm) McCausland. Surviving is his life long partner Julia Scalf, brother Vernon McCausland of Havana, three grandchildren; Angela Leone, Morgan Leone and Raymond Leone and 3 great grandchildren.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, two children; Teresa Sue McCausland and James R. “Jim” McCausland, brother Carl McCausland and two sisters; Florene Harris and Eileen Keithley.

Gerald was a Navy veteran. He worked as a farmer also retired from Keystone Steel and Wire in Bartonville. Gerald enjoyed traveling with Julia, being outdoors hunting and fishing and loved spending time with friends and family.

Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be a Celebration of Life from 1-3 pm, Saturday, March 4 2023 at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton. To leave online condolences please visit www.oakshinesfuneralhome.com
