Sharon Lee McKinney

Sharon Lee McKinney, 69, of Havana passed away at her home at 3:11 a.m. on Sunday, February 19, 2023. She was born on August 17,1953 in Pekin, Illinois to Edward L. and Maudie E. Allen, Sr. She married Michael Ray McKinney on October 21,1970.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Michael McKinney, Sr., of Havana; two children, Michael R. (Michele) McKinney, Jr. of Mason City and Misty L. (Stanley) Frank of Virginia, Illinois; five grandchildren, Dylan S. (Erica) McKinney of Rochester, Illinois, Austin M. Dailey of Havana, Chloe E. Richardson of Springfield, Illinois, Isabella J. McKinney of Mason City, and Madelyn K. McKinney of Mason City; four great-grandchildren, Carter M. Richardson, Cade J. Richardson, Lincoln S. McKinney, and Sawyer M. McKinney; and siblings, Diane S. (Mick) Larson of Port Charlotte, Florida, Edward L. Allen, Jr. of Baylis, Illinois, and William C. Allen of Pekin, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Alice C. Brackney, Norma J. Lynn, Donna L. Lynn, Richard J. Cohenour, Judith A. Cohenour, George E. Cohenour, and Karen L. Cohenour.
Sharon worked for National Standard for many years and later worked as a caretaker. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, fishing, and spending time with her family.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Rev. Abraham Mogerman will officiate.
