Surviving are her children; Michelle Maple, Scott (Lisa) Doubet, Dawn Doubet, Heather Doubet, Tina (Cayan) Yurdusev, James (Megan) Griffith and Justin (Sherri) Doubet, brother Pete Petrakis and two sisters; Debra Johnick and Gayla Wascher and 19 Grandchildren. She cherished her family above all else. Mari grew up with a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life- a value she carried with her and instilled in everyone she touched. As a mother, Mari was a pillar of unconditional love, fierce protection, and gentle wisdom. Her children knew they could always find a safe harbor in her arms no matter how old they grew. She was our Lighthouse-steady through every storm, casting a light that showed us the way home. Later in life, her greatest joy came with the title of Grandma and she adored her grandchildren. She poured her whole heart into being their biggest champion and support. She made sure to spoil them as well! She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving children, grandchildren and a huge extended family and dear friends. She is reunited in eternal peace with her beloved husband, Carl, and all those who passed before. Mari worked as a Commercial Painter, Caregiver and Nanny. She also worked at Caterpillar Inc, and Champion.
Cremation rites have been accorded through Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday August 8, 2026 at the Bartonville Legion from 12-4pm.
