Jon M. Dosher

Jon M. Dosher, 86, of Havana, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, August, 9, 2026 at Mason District Hospital, in Havana. He was born November 24, 1939, to V. Ralph and Laura (Meeks) Dosher, in the country home in Crossville, Illinois.

He graduated from Marengo High School. He entered the US Army in 1960, and was discharged in 1962. After discharge, he attended Bradley University, in Peoria, Illinois, and worked at Peoria State Hospital.
Jon married Patsy Dosher. To their union were born Jon L. Dosher, of Washington, Illinois, Laura Dunker, of Mason City, Joseph Dosher (Vickie), of Osseo, Wisconsin, and Jennifer (Chad) Alexander, of Pekin, Illinois. All survive. Also surviving are his sister, Martha Dosher, of Plainfield, and his nine grandchildren: Andrew, Cori (Cody), Samantha, Jeffrey (Kiersten), Kelsie, Courtney, Connor, Caileigh, and Ella; as well as five great-grandchildren. Those preceding him in death were his parents, son-on-law John Christopher Dunker, his brother-in-law Ronald Schlosser, and sister-in-law Cindy Guede.
He was employed at GMAC and in Administration at Perry Memorial Hospital, in Princeton, Illinois, Mason District Hospital, in Havana, Illinois, and Passavant Memorial Hospital, in Jacksonville, Illinois. He was a former member of various organizations, in Havana.
Jon was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, in Havana. He was ordained as Deacon in 2002, and went to Senior Status, in 2014. He is currently a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, in Manito, Illinois.
Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home, in Havana, on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Rosary will precede visitation, beginning at 4:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, in Manito, at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, August 15, 2026. Burial will be held at a later date at Calvary Cemetery, in Henry, Illinois, at a later date. Fr. Geoff Horton will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, in Manito, or Mason District Hospital, in Havana. Online memorial messages may be left for the family at www.hurleyfh.com.
