James Neuneker, 70, of Canton, passed away at 9:30 AM on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Renaissance Care Center in Canton, IL. He was born on July 27, 1952 in Marietta, IL to Clarence and Ethel (White) Neuneker.
James is survived by four sisters, several nieces and nephews, and his supporting staff at Renaissance.
He is preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, and four sisters.
When James was aggravated, he would stomp his feet, cross his arms, and give this little look. He would later find the staff and lay his head on their shoulder, his way of saying sorry and he loved you. James loved listening to music and could be found just walking up and down the halls. James was a highlight to have on the 300 wing and staff miss his spunky self and will remember his loving behavior.
Memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 5, 2023 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM (Noon) – 1:00 PM the same day. Burial will follow services at Bushnell City Cemetery in Bushnell, IL. Chaplin Jordan Knight will officiate. Memorials may be made to Renaissance Care Center in Canton, IL.
