Linda Kay (Woods) Yerbic

Linda Kay (Woods) Yerbic, loving wife, mother, and grandmother has passed into eternal rest. Linda Kay (Woods) Yerbic is the loving wife of James Stephen Yerbic of Kildeer, Illinois. Linda Kay was the daughter of Thelma and Paul Woods of Canton, Illinois, where she was born, met and married her sweetheart, Jim Yerbic. Jim and Linda celebrated their sixtieth first wedding anniversary this year, with many family members and celebrated Linda’s eightieth birthday recently. Linda and Jim, have two daughters, Terri Lynn Wallace of Raleigh, North Carolina and Deborah Anne Rayhab, married to Hugh Rayhab, of Nashville, Tennessee. Linda, was a dedicated grandmother and deeply loved by her children and grandchildren, Rachel Elizabeth Rayhab, Ryan James Rayhab, Morgan William Wallace, Riley Michael Rayhab, Kensey Nicole Wallace, Reece Matthew Rayhab, and Ian James Wallace. Linda’s sister, Joann Waughtel, and her husband Jack live in Cuba, Illinois. Linda spent many years working with the Chicago Children’s Home and Aid Society and volunteering her time through various church organizations. Never was there a more loving person, who doted on her family and grandchildren, and brought love and meaning to so many.


A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Canton, where a visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, July 1, 2022 with the recitation of the rosary at 5:45 PM at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton. Father Adam Stimpson will officiate. Burial will follow the Funeral Mass at the Church in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Canton.

Eternal rest grant unto Linda O lord and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. May her soul and all souls of the faithful departed through the Mercy of God Rest in Peace. Amen.
