Robert “Bob” Arthur Benson

Glasford – Robert “Bob” Arthur Benson, 76 of Glasford, passed away at 8:17 AM on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at his home. He was born on July 28, 1945 in Peoria, IL to Arthur and Lena (Behrends) Benson. He married Sharon Naylor on September 23, 1995. She survives.

Also surviving is one daughter, Carol Benson O’Connor; daughter-in-law, Jenni Benson; step-son, Chad Naylor; five grandchildren, Braiden, Griffin and Ian O’Connor, and Freja and Jack Benson; and four brothers.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Brad Benson; one grandson, Christian Naylor; and one infant sister.

He worked for Caterpillar in East Peoria for 42 years. He was also an active member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Glasford, IL.

Bob was a veteran of the United States Army.

A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Glasford, IL at a later date. Cremation rites will be accorded with Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL.
