Carl F. Jackson

Canton-Carl F. Jackson Jr, passed away on Sept. 20, 2021. He was born on December 13, 1932 in Danville, Illinois to Carl F Jackson Sr. and Ardith S. Jackson of Danville. They both preceded him in death along with one brother Walter Jackson and one Sister Helene Sarver. Surviving is a sister Mary Lynn Palcisco, two sons, Timothy Jackson (Tiffanie) of Springtown TX, Patrick Jackson (Monica) of Los Angeles CA, a very special friend Susan Lafary of Canton, five Grandchildren. Sara Stanke (Justin) Benjamin Jackson, Taylor Jackson, Jennifer Jackson, and Ella Owen Jackson and seven great grandchildren.

Carl served in the US Navy. He Obtained his undergraduate degree from Eastern Illinois University and his master's degree from Northern Illinois University. Carl was a teacher for over 35 years and he spent most of this teaching tenure at Spoon River Community College where he taught business subjects, largely accounting. He was always proud of his students' successes.
He was active in the community and supported many organizations over the 5 plus decades he resided in Canton. These include Lions Club, The YMCA, Salvation Army, Meals on Wheels, Love Inc., Youth Sports and student scholarship at Spoon River Community College.
Carl was a dedicated father and took great pride in his family's achievements.
Cremation rites have been accorded through Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton.
A burial of his ashes will be held at the Indianola Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Food Pantry in Canton.
