She was born July 2, 1929 at Havana, the daughter of Mike and Nell (Edlin) Heffren. She married Charles V. McKenzie on February 24, 1945 at Havana. He preceded her in death on March 19, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one great granddaughter, Meagan Beaird, and five siblings. Surviving are two children, Richard (Lynne) McKenzie of Lewistown, and Rose Hutson of Avon, two grandchildren, Matthew (Amber) McKenzie of Lewistown, and Misty McKenzie of Minnesota, and one great granddaughter, Lucy McKenzie of Lewistown.
Margaret was a farmers wife who helped her husband with the family farm for many years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lewistown.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday September 27, 2021 at henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown, with Father David Whiteside officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services and burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery at Lewistown. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s or St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lewistown.
