Monica M. “Marge” Denham


Cuba- Monica M. “Marge” Denham, 72, of Cuba, passed away at 11:51 PM Friday January 8, 2016 at Unity Point Proctor in Peoria.

She was born January 11, 1943 at Brockton, MA; the daughter of George and Monica (Rice) Cavanagh. She married Carl L. Denham on February 28, 1966 at Brockton, MA. He survives with three children, Cheryl Denham of Cuba, Catherine (Michael) Doubleday of East Peoria, Daniel (Melissa) Denham of Canton, three grandchildren, Aaron (Jeanna) Todd, Zechariah Denham, and Ava Denham, two great grandchildren, Hydee Todd, and Shelbee Todd, and two sisters, Susan (Michael) Swett of Worcester, MA; and Faye Perry of Pembroke, MA. She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers.

Marge served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. She owned and operated a restaurant, and had also worked as a CAN, and an office worker. She was a member of the Cuba Church of the Nazarene, Cuba Lions Club, and was a Cub Scout leader. She was a pastor’s wife, mother, and grandmother.

Services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday at Henry-Lange Memorial home in Lewistown, where visitation will be held Tuesday from 5-7 PM. Reverend Larry Wright will officiate and burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery at Springfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
