Canton – Daniel A. Cufaude, 67, of Canton, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016, in Rotonda West, Florida.
He was born on December 22, 1948, in Springfield, IL, to Clyde and Mardelle (Corson) Cufaude. They preceded him in death.
He married Vinnie Rockhold, on July 2, 1983, in Canton. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, Eldon Sprague of Sycamore, IL, David (Lisa Alexander) Cufaude of Pekin, Denise Hyman of Arcade, N.Y., Brandi (Robert) Morris of Chicago, Darren (Angie) Cufaude of Anchorage, Alaska, three sisters, Rosanne (Jim) Drechsel, Cathryn (John) Rechner, Amy (Steve) Becker and eight grandchildren, Alexander, Bradyn, Zachery, Andrew, Jacob, Samuel, Madison and Hunter.
Dan served in the U.S. Air Force and later worked at Caterpillar Inc. in Peoria retiring in 2008. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and the St. Louis Cardinals. Most of all Dan loved and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 1-4, on Saturday, January 30, 2016, at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton with the funeral at 4 pm. Cremation rites will be accorded following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Christian Church in Canton or to the Mason City Area Nursing Home.
