Kenneth D. Deppermann


London Mills – Kenneth D. Deppermann, 69, of London Mills, passed away at 3:29 PM on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at OSF St. Francis in Peoria, IL. He was born on April 12, 1946 in Canton, IL to Dale and Helen (Ryan) Deppermann. He married Connie Lance on July 31, 1965 in Bellevue, IL, she survives.

Also surviving are 5 children, Troy (Melody Schroer) Deppermann of LaGrange, MO, Terry (Jennifer) Deppermann of Glasford, IL, Tony (Erika) Deppermann of Yates City, IL, Chris (Brooke) Deppermann of Canton, IL, and Jovon (Chad Endres) Deppermann of Bartonville, IL; 6 grandchildren; two brothers, Rodger (Trish) Deppermann of Trivoli, and Robert (Linda) Deppermann of Glasford; and his mother Helen Deppermann of Glasford, IL.

Preceding him in death is his father, Dale Deppermann; and Joyce Willms who he helped care for.

Kenneth worked as Sergeant at the Peoria County Jail for several years, and also owned and operated Frontier Arms. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Canton, a lifelong member of the Chillicothe Sportsman Club, the Single Action Shooting Society, and the NRA. Kenneth was an avid competitive shooter, gunsmith, reloader, and outdoorsman. He was a loving husband, father of five, and grandfather of six.

Services will be at 4:00 PM on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington, IL, where a visitation will be held from 2-4 PM. President Ron Deppermann will officiate. Cremation rights will be accorded after the services. Burial will follow at a later date. Memorials can be made to Make a Wish Foundation or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
