William Wilson

Canton – William “Bill” H. Wilson, 87, of Canton, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2015, at the Red Oak Estates in Canton.
He was born on November 18, 1927 in Cuba to Thomas and Elizabeth Townsley Wilson.
He married Marjorie E. McClaughry on August 11, 1946 in Smithfield, IL.  She survives.
Also surviving are three children William Wilson of Lake Camelot, Nancy (Bob) Savage of Table Grove, Patty (Mike) Joachim of We-Ma-Tuk Hills, daughter in law Pam Wilson of Canton, brother Thomas James Wilson of Arthur, Aileen Wageneck of Peoria, nine grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, one son Rob and a sister Marilyn Carpenter.
He graduated from Cuba High School and later retired from the Buckheart Mine after working for 42 years.  He was a member of the Shields Chapel United Methodist Church, the Farmington Moose and a 50 year member of the Cuba Masonic Lodge.

services will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at 2pm, at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton with a funeral service  following.  Visitation will be held one hour prior at the funeral home.
Burial will be held at the Cuba Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to ALS or Shields Chapel United Methodist Church.
