Peoria – Harold R. Zessin, 92, of Peoria, IL passed away at 12:15 PM Monday, March 16, 2015 at Sunset Manor Nursing Home, Canton.
He was born February 1, 1923 in Trivoli to Ernest and Ella (Schubert) Zessin. He married Ruby M. Garrison on March 18, 1944 in Fairview and she died on July 15, 2014.
Also preceding him in death were his parents; step-great grandson, Tyler; 2 brothers; and 1 sister.
Surviving are his daughter, Marjorie Musgrave of Peoria; 2 grandchildren, Suzanne (Doug) Mendyke and Michael (Laura) Rakers; 3 great granddaughters, Amanda, Kristen, and Megan; 1 step great grandson, Trent; 1 step great-great granddaughter, Addison; and 1 sister, Martha Morby of Galesburg.
Harold had farmed for 70 + years in Trivoli.
He was a member of Mt. Zion “Penn Ridge” Church.
Harold was a jack of all trades and could fix anything.
Services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 21st at Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home, Farmington where visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM Friday, March 20th. Rev. Gary Schmidt will officiate.
Burial will be in Penn Ridge Cemetery, Trivoli.
Memorials may be made to Logan-Trivoli Fire Protection District or Mt. Zion “Penn Ridge” Church.
