Roberta M.
Hughes, 97, of Canton, passed away at 5:30 PM Wednesday March 18, 2015 at
Clayberg Nursing Home in Cuba, where she was a resident.
She was born
August 24, 1917 at Fiatt, the daughter of James and Lulu (Woods) Hughes.
Surviving is one niece, Jean Jacobsohn of New Jersey, and several great nieces
and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
She worked in
the engineering department at International Harvester for 17 years at the
Canton Works, and 21 years at the Hinsdale Engineering Center. She retired at
Hinsdale in 1980 and returned to Canton. She was a member of Wesley United
Methodist Church in Canton.
A private family
graveside committal service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery with Reverend
Bruce Rushing officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Clayberg
Nursing Home Activity Fund. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown is in charge
