Robert W. Boyer, Sr.

Robert W. Boyer, Sr., 84, of Havana, passed away at his home on Thursday, June 18, 2026. He was born on November 16, 1941 in Greenview, Illinois to Clarence E. and Goldie Mae (Carwyle) Boyer. He married Donna Trimpe on December 23, 1972 in San Jose, and she preceded him in death on April 4, 2021.

Robert is survived by his son, Robert (Christy) Boyer, Jr.; grandchildren, Josh and Jennifer Duel, Cynthia Boyer, and Emelia MacIntyre; and great-grandsons, Holdyn and Hudsyn. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and siblings, Dale, Harvey, David, Jean LaVaun, Donald, Raymond, and Jerry.

Robert served in the U.S. Army and worked for many years at Caterpillar. He enjoyed gardening and hunting for 4, 5, and 6 leaf clovers in his yard.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana, with a visitation one hour prior from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Rev. Brian Lesemann will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana.
