He was born in Canton, on November 24, 1954, to Edward H., and Mary J. (Leezer) Dry. They preceded him in death as well as his sister, Connie Glad.
Lyle shared 27 years of marriage with his wife, Lisa (Wilcoxen) Dry before she passed away on May 22, 2024.
He is survived by two sons, Michael Davison, and Lyle E. (Theresa) Dry Jr., brother, Mark (Selina) Dry, brother-in-law, Edward Glad Jr., two grandchildren, Dayle (James) and Hannah, three great grandchildren, Zadie, Austynn and Emery, three nephews, Avery (Kaleen), Edward (Moana) III, and Jacob, and two nieces, Elaina (Brady), and Amanda.
Lyle was a truck driver for his entire life he worked for 15 years at Airland, and lastly worked for Hitchcock’s Scrapyard in Canton.
When Lyle wasn’t in a truck, he enjoyed working on and driving tractors and trucks, horses and in his younger years, drag racing. He enjoyed farming, watching westerns, and Sunday morning on his back porch listening to old country music.
Cremation rites will be accorded; a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
