He was born in Canton, on August 17, 1962, to Harrison and Shirley (Grafton) Rumler. They preceded him in death as well as a brother, Harry Rumler, and sister Michelle “Mickey” Rumler.
Larry is survived by his wife of 37 years, Susan (Glad) Rumler, they were married on August 23, 1988.
Also surviving are two children, Cory (Raquel) Ashley and Zachary (Kim) Ashley, brother, Jason (Bridgette) Rumler, four grandchildren, Bryant, William (Marissa), Tucker and Ava, two great grandchildren, Braxton and Dawson, two sisters-in-law Lori Rumler, and Michelle Trone, two brother-in-law, Mike (Mary Jo) Eskridge, and Ed Glad Jr., and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Larry worked for the Department of Corrections for 25 years, beginning his career in Pontiac and later serving in Canton. He retired in 2012.
Larry enjoyed fishing, golfing, and building furniture projects in his garage. He was a devoted fan of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who brought him great joy.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Fulton County, or to the Ronald McDonald House.
Cremation rites will be accorded with Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton and a burial of ashes will take place with his wife at a later date.
