He was born August 13, 1968 at Peoria, the son of Orville Lee and Sandra M. (Kawolsky) Southard. He married Jimelle Hunter on December 17, 1988 at Lewistown. She survives with two children, Joseph (Sammi) Southard of St. David, Rickie (fiance’) Edward Suydam) Southard of Middlegrove, one grandson, Barrett Lee Southard, his mother, Sandra Southard of Dunfermline, and five sibblings, Rodney (Kathy) Southard of Farmington, Janet Gardner of Peoria, John (Mary) Southard of Farmington, Susan (Mike) Pouc of Canton, and Mandy (Josh) Wallick of Canton. He was preceded in death by his father.
Ricky was a mail carrier for the US Postal Service. He loved being with friends and family and especially his grandson who he called his “Bestes Buddy”. He enjoyed collecting model cars, going to garage sales, antique hunting, mushrooming, and working on his other home in Tennessee.
Cremation will be accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Graham Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab Center in Canton.
